Local pupils want to go from ‘wrappers to riches’

Support local schools, Wooler First School and Glendale Middle School by donating your used biscuit wrappers now.

The schools are taking part in the ‘Wrappers to Riches’ contest. The competition is part of biscuit company’s McVities’ ‘Biscuit Wrapper Brigade’ scheme which hopes to reduce the amount of landfill waste and encourage pupils to think about recycling and reducing their waste.

Last year Preston recycled over 37% of its waste and can hopefully keep up their green reputations by helping the schools succeed in the competition. Both schools are already joint third in the competition, so instead of throwing away your biscuit wrappers and contributing to landfill waste, donate them to Wooler First School and Glendale Middle School.
